Default No tail lights

Got a 97 Z71 off road and have not had any issues until last night when a very helpful(sarcasm) County sherriff let me know I had no tail lights. brake lights work, all turn signals work, and the emergency flashers work, Everything works except the tail lights, License plate lights and back up lights. Anyone ever had this issue. All bulbs replaced and as a mechanic told me the circuit boards are new. Anyone got an answer?? Thanks ahead of time.

The tail lights are on one circuit...the signal/stop lights are on another....If your fuses are OK, sounds like you have a broken wire somewhere. I would start at the back, check the trailer connector if you have one....and work your way forward

I imagine the front parking lights work?

yes everything works up front, I do have a trailer plug that was on the truck when I got it, I have not used it, is that where I should start. All dash lights work as well
Thank You for replying

I also think its a wiring problem.
