I have a 2005 2500H.D and in the last 2 weeks it has been making a clunking noise in the steering wheel not always just every so often. You can barley feel it when you hear the noise. Wondering if anyone has had related problems.

Sounds like the common problem with the steering shaft. Going to the search section at the top of the page and do a search on the steering shaft.

This is very common in GM trucks and SUVs. Here is a link to how I get rid of the noise. Pics included and part numbers of the inexpensive tool and detailed instructions. Total time a little over 5 minutes.
after you have done this and the clunk eventually comes back, all you will have to do is remove the bolt and compress and extend the shaft a couple of times to redistribute the grease.
