Obdii not working

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado Z71 4x4 with a 4.8L. It has a starting problem that I believe is a ignition wire but my obdII SENSOR IS NOT WORKING. WHEN I PLUG IT IN IS NOT WORKING BUT WORKS ON ALL MY OTHER CARS CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.

u can rent a diagnostic tool from autozone

check the fuses and make sure none are blown.underhood and underdash
