Default oil pressure problem, please help!

For the past couple days my truck's oil pressure drops all the way down to the red when i turn a corner. When im driving straight, it will wobble back and forth a little bit in the normal zone, but as soon as i corner, it drops all the way down and the "check gages" light blinks on.

What could be the problem? what should i do?

its a 1991 silverado 1500

thank you!

Yeah my guess would be the sump is sucking air when the little oil that's left in the pan goes to one side or the other of the engine during a turn.

I'm going to be a little less polite than Mike and say that more than likely, if the oil has actually gone this low, a new oil filter and complete oil change is in order.

When was the last time the oil was changed? if within a few thousand miles ago, I would have it checked for a oil leak. How many miles are on it?
