Default Oil pressure problems

2005 Chevy Silverado
5.3l V8, 4WD
Ext cab, base model

I have had this truck for a couple years now and have been dealing with an issue where when I'm at idle the trucks oil pressure gauge shows very low, like below 20psi. I've replace the sending unit and switching to 10-w30 hoping it might help. The only other things I know to do would be to get the gauge cluster checked and/or drop the oil pan and replace the oil pickup tube o-ring. Any other advice would be greatly
Appreciated!!

Thanks,

John

Oil pressure spec is :
Oil Pressure – Minimum – Hot
6 psig at 1,000 engine RPM
18 psig at 2,000 engine RPM
24 psig at 4,000 engine RPM

So 20 psi @ idle is looking OK

Test it with a real gauge. It may also have a gauge IPC that is going bad

I got the gauge cluster tested yesterday and the oil pressure dial reads fine. He did(my mechanic) asked me if I replace the valve lifter oil filter when I replace the oil pressure sending unit and I said I didn't. So he said try that, he called the dealer and that's what they recommend doing, and if that goes south probably gonna need to change the oil pump. Now I am looking at it right now sitting in the parking lot and it is actually reading below 20psi. Actually like 10.
