i have an 04 silverado 4.8 4x4, and i was looking at my oil pressure gauge and it was going 50 to 60 psi normal driving is that normal for colder weather? it usualy only hits 50 psi when i am steping on it and stays around 40 most of the time is this something that i should take great concern with? thanks

I'm no pro here, but oil thickens up when it's cold, so it would seem that pressure would build up more easily. If it's only going to 60 i wouldn't worry about it, but if you're still concerned, maybe try switching to an oil better suited for winter use.

The normal oil pressure range for the 4.8L is 24 - 60psi @ 4,000 RPM so there is no cause for alarm.
Just make certain that you are using a good quality 5W-30 motor oil.
