ever time i kick into passing gear my 97 z71 it sputters until i let off. it accellerates fine idles fine and quite. the truck has 240000 miles and is all stock. i believe it`s the cat. but i`ve drove a truck a year ago before i got this and it did the same thing. i figure this may be a common thing but i`d like a little more info. thanks.

 

Hook up a vacuum gauge and read THIS.

no codes but i`ll do a vacuum check on it

 

Check your fuel pressure and fuel filter also.
