Lookin at the battery to the left of it is a black box. Pop the cover off an there's 2 "chips" that go into it and are held on by 7mm bolts I believe. Pop those off and then the computer is just clipped in I believe? I can't remember honestly

PCM must be programed to your truck. Why do you want to replace it?

MDTAHOE is right, must be programmed for your truck. Out of personal expierience, look up blackbear performance, i love the tune they did on mine back in 09. Only just now gonna change it retune because of new long tube headers and a few other mods.

If you do a crank relearn it should be ok. If you got a tune from blackbear or Wheatley then a crank relearn is needed to complete the process

I ordered a custom tune from blackbear and was just wondering where it was located. What do you mean a crank relearn is needed to complete the process of a blackbear tune? What's that consist of?

I thought a blackbear tune was just plug and play basically.

It's not the pcm from your truck that you sent off to get tuned is it? if that's the case then no, you don't need a relearn. But if it isn't then a crank relearn is necessary I believe. Contact justin and ask him if it's needed for it.

I am not positive but I believe all a crank relearn is after installing the new pcm, crank truck up and let idle for 15 minutes or so. I had to do this when i started my truck and belt came off and I ran truck for about a 30 seconds when i realized the belt came off. I put belt back on and went to pull away and my transmission shift points were way higher than normal and truck was not accelerating properly and basically just running like crap. So, I pulled truck back in turned off and then cranked again and just let it sit there idling for like I said 15 minutes and the pcm relearned what it had to and drove perfect after that.
