Default Performance Chip/Programmer

Hello,
I have a 2006 Silverado Z71 with a 5.3L and I was wondering what performance chip/programmer that I would get the best result from? Hope to hear back. Thanks

I know my buddy just put a Bully Dog Triple Dog GT in his 2008 Silverado 1500 with the 4.8 and got some pretty good results. Was thinking about ordering that but wanted to see if there might be a better bang for the buck from people with more experience. Jonathan

Like what s34n said, on otehr forums I've seen a lot of people talk extremely highly of blackbear. I'll be getting one for sure, if i weren't I would've gone with the Bully Dog Triple Dog GT for sure. Based on what I've seen on t.v. with Bully Dog, and from what I've done and personally seen with Bully Dog diesel programmers, they are the best.

Yeah my buddy seemed really happy with it. I just didnt know if maybe someone on here might have found a better programmer that might add a little more power or have more options.

best to avoid Edge and Diablo programmers. Bully Dog is a great one, as well as Blackbear. my boss had the edge, nothing but problems. he liked it cause he could remove it easily out of system for warranty at dealer. soon as his warranty was up, he went bully dog. but he's gonna try the blackbear as well.

I have a MAX programmer from Hypertech and it kicks ***! huge power gain, shifts faster, finds and clears DTC's, you can change your therm. if you have an aftermarket one it is just about endless.
