plug type???
I have an 01 Silverado 5.3 4X4 with 49K on it. I plan on changing the plugs because it does not seem to be firing up quite as hard as it used to at start up. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good brand or a brand not to use. Ex: Champion, Bosch, AC Delco, platinum, Splitfire etc....
I have always used Champion but someone once told me that I should stick with AC Delcobecause ofthe type of electonic systems that are in these trucks now. Thanks for any feedback you can give to me.

RE: plug type???
I have heard some really bad things about bosch platinum plugs, +2, +4, in engines with 75,000+ miles on them. How it was explained to me is that the platinumtips can't handle any oil residue, if they get oil on them they start to misfire and break down. My'95 I justbought has 92000 on it, and the previous owner put platinum plugs in at 84000, and whenI pulled they looked horrible andI replaced them.Just a warning
