Power Window Motor?
Hi,
So I have a 2003 Silverado 1500. I have noticed that the power windows close extremely slowly, and it is beginning to make me angry. Is there any more powerful motor I can put it?

it might not be just the motor. there is a good chance the whole in-side needs to be re-placed, the window motor, track, and cable system. they are sold as one unit.

well it should not cost to much. they can be done at home, the job is not hard but not that easy. the unit you will need should be around a $100 bucks. that will include everything. I am just guessing but a shop should get around 1.5 hours to do the fix.

My '04 gets the same way. I spray some silicone on a "Q-tip" and wipe the window track with it. Speeds up the window every time. Those tracks get dry and slow the window movement. Try it, works for me.

Hi CoffeyLover,
Welcome to the Chevy Forums.
I would try the lubrication first.
I just bought a motor, without tracks and hardware, 125$ out the door. (Ah, no pun intended.)
