Question Problem between headlights, blinkers, and running lights

Hey guys I have an interesting problem and since I'm not a big wiring and electricity guy I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with what to do. First off I have a 91 1500 5.7 350. My problem is when I have my headlights or just parking lights on my blinkers and running lights don't work. Sometimes I'll get a dim flash or two, but nothing more. Without my headlights on though everything works fine. If I put the blinker on with my headlights on then turn the headlights off it will immediately start blinking and my temp control box and radio will blink a few times in sequence with the blinker. Not sure where to go with this. In my research I have heard to look at the grounds, so I'll do that later this evening. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
