Put in new transfer case, 4wd hi stopped working
Howdy All,
Just made the transition from driving imports back to driving American vehicles so I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to this stuff.
Got a 99 Silverado/1500 4x4 with a manual/floor shift transfer case. Put in a new transfer case. The truck now drives as normal in 2wd and also works in 4wd low (light comes on, front axle locks, it's clearly in 4wd).
But when I shift into 4wd High, nothing happens--no light on dashboard and no 4wd.
There are two switches in the transfer case--do these have to do with the actual 4wd function or are they just sensors? Could one of these be the problem?
Or?
Again, sorry these are JV questions...really appreciate the help.

It could need some linkage adjustment, 4 hi is all the way back on the shifter. If the light comes on in 4 low then the front axle is working, try shifting to 4 hi and have someone see if the front drive shaft is turning.
