Default Question about transmissions

I have bought a 4l60e to replace a 700r4 in a 1992 GMC pickup.

I do have the entire engine compartment wiring harness and the computer from the 1994 pickup this transmission was pulled from.

Would it be easier to swap the entire harness or would yall recommend on trying to find another 700r4?

Hard to tell never did that swap. Since both are very similar that they bolt up. I know some where someone has done that swap.
700r4 is cheaper than the 4l60e in the after market. I have found out that I have a 4l60e when I did my transmission replacement and I had to send back the 700r4. Only troble would be the speedometer drive also the harness.

Speedo plugs between the current harness versus the harness that came with the tranny look the same.

I am seriously debating on weather all this work is worth going thru.

Talk to a trans guy, I'm pretty sure the only difference between the two of them is the valve body, just swap them out.
