Question about warranty and exhaust
Hey all. I got a 2011 chevy silverado that I got back around march of this year. I was looking at this exhaust cutoffs that they sell. Pretty much is you cut a peice of your exhaust pipe out, and you reweld this peice back in. This electric cut off has a dump on it so you can make it sound loud like straight pipes, or you can turn it back and it will be your normal exhaust that runs through your stock muffler. And it has a wireless switch you keep on your key change or where ever and changes it. One of my co workers got it for his dodge and it sounds pretty good. Everyone knows when they get loud exhaust sometimes they wish they had the stock pipes again (for long road trips, or whatver) Then sometimes you wish you had some Loud straight pipes. So thats what I like about this cutoff system.
Pretty much I'm just wondering if I install this, would it do anything to my warranty.
Here is a link to the cut offs Im talking about

Thanks,
John

it shouldn't...people get exhausts all the time and it doesn't void anything. for the dealership to say it voids the warranty, they have to prove your exhaust caused the damage to your truck...which will never happen unless you take off your cats
