Rear Leaf Springs

Rear Leaf Springs
I have a 2007 Silverado Classic 1500. I tow a Travel Trailer and I'm seeing the rear end squatting. I have looked at all the air bag kits and was just looking for something cheaper. Does anyone know if the leaf springs off a 2500 will fit my 1500?

A set of Firestone airbags can be purchased on line for around 300 a pair (just did that). And it takes about two hours to install; depending on breaks.
No drilling involved and tools are common; nothing unique.
And when not pulling the trailer you can drop the air bags down, back to normal. Heavy duty springs will affect the ride at all times.
And, experience with my H3, the air bags help to reduce bouncing when on washboard roads.
Just a thought.

Do you have a equalizer hitch or just standard ball hitch. The equalizer hitch will balance the weight of the tongue thru the rest of trailer and relieive some from the truck. Also get a sway bar as the really help when being passed by bigger vehicles. I have both a 2001 1500 and a 2500hd 4x4, the only difference is the amount of leafs installed. The width and length are the same. Normally the rear of your truck sits up higher to compensate for added weight in the bed, so the bed will be level with max load truck can carry.

Yes 2500HD springs will swap right over. There are more leafs in the pack and the overload is way bigger to handle the weight better. I have em on my truck and love them, they do ride a lil more rough but pros and cons to everything
