Rear Speakers quit working.

Rear Speakers quit working.
I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado LT, 4-door, 2WD. Two days ago as I was driving I went to move the audio to the rear speakers only to discover there was no sound coming out of them. The front speakers in the door work great, as well as the small speakers by the windshield. What would cause both rear speakers to go out at the same time?
