Rear View Back Up Cameron on NBS Silverado w/factory Nav????
I have installed two kenwood cameras on my two different 2007 Tahoes. I would like to adda back up camera to my 2007 NBS Silverado. However, I dont think the kenwood style cameras would work because I dont see a good mounting location.
Has anyone installed a camera on the NBS Silverados? What camera? Anyone have a back up camera from the factory?
Pictures of the cameras installed and make/brand of aftermarket cameras would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RE: Rear View Back Up Cameron on NBS Silverado w/factory Nav????
I installed a Tahoe Nav.system that was RVC ready. I got a Kenwood CCD2000 & put the camera in a hole I drilled above the bumper. The tail gate & bumper limit your view ,but you can still see very well (Just not up or down) I used the people out of Houston for hook up help. Forgive me I forgot there name, but they were more than helpfull.

i havent did it yet
but im putting mine when i get that far in the hole in my recever hitch but not all of them are the same.
so if you dont have one like this guess that not work.
but im going with the kenwood as well
prob same number there as chas1955 but not sure off top of my head right now but they had 2 of them and both were eazy to
mount in that hole just gonna have to weld in a lil bracket inside there to mount it on no biggy at all.

Speedy I was going to mount my camera where you want to. The problem I ran into was the mount is scrwed to the camera, so you can weld the factory braket on, but then you have to screw the camera to the mount. The problem is the screws come in from the side & there is not enough room to get them started. If you Fab. your own mount and make it stick out of the hitch (wish I had done that) then it would be a snap.

You can buy the 09 Tailgate handle bezel (around $25-$30) with the hole for oe rear camera and add a camera. Some customizing to make the mount and it can be done. I have already added the 09 Bezel to a 07 and 08. I will be doing another 08 1500 LTZ tomorrow, if I have time I will take pics and post.
