are you putting in new parts? or taking apart, cleaning/service, then re-build?

taking apart, service and replacing if needed. I have a knock in the valve train. I knocking noise got louder when pulling the valve cover on the drivers. I also found a bent push rod on the #3 cylinder.

the knock is probably a loose rocker from the bent rod. you could probably just get away with replacing the push rods. unless you wanted to rebuild anyway.

I replaced all the push rods and still have the noise but not as loud. I guess next step is to replace all the valves. I could probably have a bent/lashed valve.
