Reissue on VIN Desperate Please Help
Good afternoon Everyone!
We purchased a 2019 Chevy Silverado and on the Window sticker it states the Vin: 3GCPYFED2KG176665 REISSUE ....everyone we have spoken to has never heard of this and we're extremely desperate.
This vehicle was sent to a Aftermarket Performance shop and has a liftkit, bigger tires and bigger rims. We bought it new with 120 miles on it and didn't think much about the reissue because of the aftermarket add on's. We have just realized Friday after owning it for 3 days that the rear pinion seal is leaking. BTW this is the second vehicle we have owned in a month because the first Chevy which was a 2020 was a "lemon" thankfully we were able to return it and get this one. PLEASE someone help us we need to have a ''GMVIS" report. Thank you in advance

by window sticker you mean the vin plate rivetted to the dash? does it match the vin label of the door?
I've never heard of this. Even salvage title vehicles that have been repaired carry the original vin. A dealership can't legally sell a salvage vehicle as new without disclosure.
only dealers or gm customer support can provide the gmvis report. there are gm customer service reps on this site that can look into this.

Do a vin check and see if it matches what is on your truck. This would would be prior to the mods the speed shop made. The rear pinion seal leak should be repaired under warranty. Good Luck with it.

REISSUE just means that the sticker was reissued not the VIN #. Somebody tore the sticker, etc. and GM provided them with a new sticker.

It can be, tech2. Have you figured it out? The problem is that you can find out if the car was in an accident and the door was changed by checking the info using the VIN code, or by contacting the former owner. If you can find the VIN, on the engine, then pull it up on vingurus.com and you'll find out all the detailed information about the car. That's how I found out that the first owner of my car changed the bumper, which he didn't even mention, and because of this, the price of the car decreased significantly. Convenient, isn't it?

vinnumberlookup
A reverse license plate lookup is a process of using a license plate number to obtain information about the vehicle's registered owner. This information can be useful in various situations, such as identifying a hit-and-run driver or checking if a potential buyer of a used car has a clean driving record and use www.vinnumberlookup.com/free-license-plate-lookup site for reverse license plate lookup there. Thank you!
