Default removing the bed

Hey all. I had a question. I want to remove the bed from my chevy 2500, 1998. I am wondering about how many bolts there are and also what can I do with the gas tube? Without the bed it will be sticking up in the air. Should I re route it or something? Thanks.

newer models have 3 or 4 bolts per side for the box.

the 3 screws from the filler neck under the fuel filler door are removed and the filler is free from the box.

there may also be a fuel tank grd strap that needs to be unscrewed from the box

What can I do about the filler hose? I want to make a flatbed on this truck. Do I buy a different gas hose that would not stick up? Or will it not stick up?
