hi all
just checking to see how hard it is to remove the dash in order to change the radio on a 96 silverado.
is there a easy way that it comes apart.
cheers greg

i think the trim is just cliped in around the radio. if not then its just a few bolts holding it in then once you get the trim off its 4 bolts holding the radio itself in. hope that helps.

the whole face plate for the gauges/radio/ A/C is one trim piece, you pop it off and on..........you do it by hand pulling on it(carefully) to save some time you need to put the keys in and not start the truck but move the automatic shifter down into first gear. Doing so will provide you with some extra space when pulling off the dash panel to move it cleanly away and pull the trim off the bottom clips around the steering colum.
