So my drivers side mirror glass decided it wanted to detach itself from my truck, slam against the door, scratch the door, and fall to the ground and shatter last week. I went out and bought a new glass replacement and I'm curious as to what the best way to reapply this would be. The guy at the auto parts store said that the tape that comes with them is crap and I should use a silicon adhesive and use masking tape to hold it in place while it dries.
I guess what I'm asking is, what is the best and most permanent way to put this sucker on here in 25degree weather that doesn't involve bringing the torpedo heater up to the garage and burning ten year old kerosene?
