Default Replacement OEM Shocks????

I just bought a front end leveling kit for my 2002 2500HD 4x4. The kit includes brackets so i can keep my stock OEM shocks. But i do not want to. Does anyone have any suggestions on good shocks? I was looking at the Rancho 5200's. Let me know thanks.

Personally I prefer the feel of the Bilstein HD shocks..I run them on my Camaro, my truck and previously on my Monte Carlo SS. I have never personally used the Ranchos

I have bilsteins on mine with a "2.5" inch levelin kit(I say that cause it's higher than 2.5 in) and they ride great no complaints other than the semi rough Ride from the 10 ply tires and the levelin kit itself

Installed the 2" Ready Lift level kit this weekend. The truck looks great. No shocks yet but soon.

I agree, country09, the OEM shox leave a lot to be desired, not to put too

fine a point on it.

Crushed a set of Monroe Reflexes in about a year. They're probably OK for a midsize car, tho.

Now the Rancho 9000s, they handle well on the highway and offroad.
