Default replacing y-pipe

ok so im trying to change a y-pipe on a 89 gmc k1500 and i'm stuck with it right now. it doesn't look like it was welded together and there was a exhaust clamp form the y-pipe to the cat.

the y-pipe doesn't want to slide away from the cat. I've tried getting it to spin a little with no luck so far and i tried pushing it out with my foot for a little more leverage but that didn't work either.

anyone have any tips or tricks for getting the y-pipe to separate from the cat?

sorry for bad picture quality but i had limited space to take them in. The second picture is the top side of the pipe, I don't know why there looks like a huge gash in it though.

Well I gonna start off by saying that sucks and don't have experience with this exact problem you are having but have you tried blow torch or anything or some of that seize free stuff that you spray on stuck bolts. It might give you just enough to pull em apart.

the inner pipe is the y-pipe right?

heat it with a torch like was mentioned.

another method is to crush the inner pipe with a air hammer, cut the pipe leaving a length that you can put a vise-grip on and then pull it free.
