I too own a 2010 chey silverado with a rusty bumper. Took it to the dealer 3 months after purchase to show them the rusty bumper. Of course they seemed surprised, like this was the first one this happened to. They buffed it out and said that would take care of it. Rust came back. Took it back to dealer yesterday and the first gal tried to tell me its not rust, it's brake dust that your car picks up from the road. HUH? Finally the service manager came out from his desk, took one glance at it and said REPLACE IT! Don't know yet if the same thing will happen to the next one, but I have a bad feeling that the issue hasn't been resolved and it too will probably be rusty in a few months. Yes this should be a recall, but I believe they only recall when its a safety concern. Shame on them.
