serpentine belt splitting

94 c1500 4.3 auto, a/c. serpentine belt lasts about 2 months then starts to split right in the middle. why???????????????

Might be an alignment problem!! Make sure you are getting the correct belt. Parts stores are famous for giving you the incorrect parts.
