I have a 2006 chevy silverado and the service 4wd light keeps coming on and now I am having problems with my steering. When I turn corners the steering is really tight. On the road its okay. When I go to start the truck the 2wd and 4wd lights on the dash all start flashing and then stop but when I press the 2wd the service 4wd light comes on. Help!!

 

sounds like it is locked in 4 wheel drive, have the actuator checked or replaced. my 2 cents...

 

x2. my truck was in for service last january of 2009 and while it was in the shop. the service 4wd message came on so the dealer replaced the actuator and all has been good since.
