Question service engine soon light

Installed true duals on my 87 Chevy R10. Its a 350 with TBI and though it hasn't had a catalytic converter since I owned it, I didn't have engine light due to the single 2" tail pipe. Now with more flow (2 1/4) and the thrush mufflers, the lights coming on for what is safe to assume O2 sensor. The light bugs me! I really don't want to disable the lite and would prefure to try to remedy the problem without installing converters. I guess what I'm looking for is some tricks to fool the computer. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them, I was thinking of installing 14 inch sections of 2" where the cats would go to create some backpressure for the O2 sensor. Just a thought I was pondering.
