i have a 2003 silverado with power side mirrors. i like the mirrors on the newer silverados (the ones with the top piece that can be painted to match the body) and want to swap those for my current ones. would this be a straight swap? i'm thinking there are 3 things to confirm: will it bolt in, will the plugs for the power/heat plug into each other, and will there be a gap on the outside? if anybody has done this and fabrication/modification is required, tips are appreciated.

 

totally different sugestion got to your local dealer order the mirror inserts for a like 05 z71 burban they come painted pretty easy to change
