I want to install a glasspack, but the truck comes with a 2 and 3/4inch piped muffler and they only make 3inch mufflers. so if i bought a glasspack muffler that is 3inchs would i be able to use it and not have a large risk of leaks? thanks kevin.

 

There are pipe adapters you can use. Why do you want to use a glasspack?

 

its my favorite style muffler, and i like the popping. but do i need pipe adapters or shoujld it be fine as is?

 

Any muffler shop should be able to help you out. Just dont go smaller and restrict the flow.

 

i know but i was just wondering about your guys opinions, i have a 2 and 3/4inch muffler on it now. so i was just wondering if it would be a bad idea to put a 3 inch muffler over 2 and 3/4inch piping without using any pipe size adapters

 

You would need to use a adaptor to go from 2.75" to a 3.00" for sure. You can buy them cheap from most auto stores or muffler shops.
