I changed the oil in my truck and after about 700 miles the change oil
light is coming on when I start it up. It stays on for about 10-15
seconds and goes off. Anyone know why this is happening?

 

Do you have one of those 'message centers?' is it coming on there or is it just an oil light? i have a 99 and a message center...it says something like 'change oil' anyway....you have to reset the message on my truck. i think i have to turn the key to accessories and then hit the gas pedal 5 times in 3 seconds or 3 times in 5 seconds. something like that. </P>
