Silverado/Sierra
what if any differences are there between the gmc and Chevy is it just a marketing thing or is there actually any differences that make the gmc a "professional grade truck" my current truck is a gmc and iv owned other gmc's and Chevy and personally they seem the same to me.
The major differences between the two vehicles are where options are assigned. The lower trim levels on a GMC Sierra have more options that are either standard or available to them rather than the lower trims of the Chevrolet Silverados. That is what I've seen when checking on the option lists for both of these vehicles. If you would like the Chevrolet and GMC websites have competitive comparisons that you can use to compare these two vehicles to one another. I hope that this helps you.

IMHO, the differences are with trim items and cosmetic changes. The GMC appears to have a bigger & shinier grille, (sometimes) nicer seats, wheels and other goodies; but is otherwise the same truck.
I never priced them, but I am assuming the GMC will set you back a few more ducats.
