sloppy 14 bolt
Gotta have my truck runnin by thursday evening, need to haul trailer. so heres what i got sloppy rear end, got about 20-30 degrees of rotation at the pinion yoke. pulled cover fluid good no metal and checked mesh--mesh great, checked backlash and had .021--re adjusted to .010. checked axle splines all good everything looks great. Now heres the problem when i rotate the pinion the ring stays in motion with it, but the locker inside doesnt move untill that 20 to 30 degrees or so. put a detroit locker in about a year ago. I guess i just have never seen the interals in a carrier to rotate that much. any insite would be great!!

No shafts look good-no metal-no sharp edges on teeth. There are no longer spiders in the case, I took them out to install the detroit "no spin". They just go in place of the spiders and you still get to use your open case. Its really wierd, the pinion and ring are perfect and turn just as they should, but for the first mabey inch or ring rotation the locker and shafts just sit there, almost like the cross shafts are broke? They will finally catch and works just fine, does the same thing in reverse. Its just really annoying having to listen and feel than "BANG, CLUNK" when you go from D to R. thats why i thought it was backlash but...no. Anyone know the diameter of the end of the shaft with the teeth?
