REVERSE IS SLOPPY?
[/align]
I hate to ask this question for fear of the answer, (well not really fear, but the $$ to fix it)! [
]
I have a 96 Tahoe 2Dr 4X4.
Bought the Truck with 125K on it.
Transmission went out 3 weeks later.
Although it had a 60 day Warranty the company wouldn't cover the whole repair.
So I paid $1100.00 (out of my pocket), and the place I bought it from paid $750.00 and the Tranny guy took the rest off of the Total price.
Had it rebuiltwith a 12 Month 12K Mile warranty.
That was in March of 2007.
So recently last 3 months, here's the symptoms.
When Cold (1st thing in the morning) put it in Reverse and no problems every time.
Once it warms up, I would say 7 out of 10 times, putting it in Reverse I have to wait anywhere from 15-45 seconds for it to finally go into Reverse and that's usually accompanied with a "Clunk".
No leakage and the Fluid is a nice color.
Shifting in all Forward gears is fine.
I've put about 50K miles on it since that rebuild.
No rough driving.
No off road at all.
No heavy lead foot.
I just feel the tranny shouldn't be having problems this soon after a rebuild.
