smelling fuel at start up

smelling fuel at start up
I am getting a fairly strong fuel smell at start up. I changed the air filter. About six months ago I put an auzo zone vacuum soliniod on. Six months seems to be the auto zone life span for many parts. Any ideas. After start up, no more smell of fuel.
