I have a remote start system installed on my 02 Vortec v8. The truck starts up fine, but there is an issue with my stereo when I remote start - sometimes it turns on and starts playing whatever was last being played (iPod, Tuner, Cd); sometimes is turns on but isn't active; and sometimes it is off as though it were unplugged. It isn't effecting anything but it is progressively getting worse and I am worried that something will eventually go wrong somewhere else. Unfortunately I am 800 miles away from the people who installed the system so I'm hoping it's a simple issue?
