Default spark plug ?

i have a 98 c2500 5.7 vortec what spark plug should this truck have in it
owners manual says ac 41-932 i cross ref. and come up with 41-993 these are iridum plugs. two diff part stores tell me this truck takes a double platium plug so i will be calling a gm dealership parts dept. and see what they tell me. but i want to see what you guys think

Let me know what you find out,, I have tried 3 different types and noticed a difference in all of them.. some better than the others... some seem to give the truck a sputter when accelerating...

i have called the dealer and they run my vin# they said that my truck should use the iridum spark plug not a platium so i will be getting a set of ac-delco 41-993 iridum plugs

My trucks always had platinum plugs with no problems. Plus you can get 100,000 miles out them to. Dealerships tell you what they put in the trucks and not what all kinds it can take.

Iridium is really expensive, but they last a really long time.
