Just found the forum so will wear everybody out.
I get a low squeal/in steering column. Is there a lube point?
I have had Silverados since 76 and have never had one that used oil. My 2007 uses a quart or more between oil changes. I have used synthetic for 50,000 if that makes a difference although I used in my '89 also.

I would suggest having the dealership take a look at the vehicle to diagnose the issue to make sure it is what you think it is. From there you would have a better starting point if you are looking to simply fix the issue yourself. I hope that helps you.
