tonight i went out to move my truck back into the driveway from the street and i heard a squeal which sounded like coming from the steering shaft. i've seen alot of guys post about this problem but i dont remember the solution. anyone have any suggestions?

 

sure it wasnt just the tires? i know when i turn sharp the fronts squeal...same with my aunts jeeps... it sounds like your going 80mph thru a tight turn lol

 

yea im pretty sure its coming from the steering shaft. my windows were up and the sound was close to me

i've read in another thread that the intermediate shaft was replaced and fixed the problem. on carcomplaints.com people said that the shaft was repacked with grease. the shaft was replaced. etc. so ill call the dealer today and see what they can do and if my warranty covers this.
