Just wanted to tell you guys that there is a kit on ebay that you can get that fixes the ''clunk'' in the steering of the 02-08 chevy 1500, tahoe, and suburbans. You dont have to take it appart or anything, just bolt it on and it stops the clunking. It only takes about 10 min to install. You can look it up by typing in CHEVY STEERING NOISE REPAIR. Hope this helps some of you.

 

found folks successfully installing zerk fitting into the steering shaft and pumping it with grease for good.
