well, i'd say you'll waste your time on control arm, but it's your call
to replace ISS:
1. buy one from NAPA.
2. bend over backwards and get under the steering wheel, back flat on the floor. you'll see anodized 15mm nut on a black bracket, running through the steering wheel shaft and ISS. remove it
3. get a stool, pop the hood open, locate your ISS coming out of firewall. it's a 2 part piece, connected together with another 15mm nut. remove that one, THE UPPER ONE..
3. collapse ISS and pull out through the boot. i do not remember which way it went easier, in or out. i think in.
4. install new one.
5. tell wife you had to spend $200 on OEM one and show her estimate from the Good GM dealership. pocket the difference and save it for regulators or something that will break next.
how about this for Alldata or $135 manual? dude, ANY library has extensive Chiltons that will help you out, with a cost of maybe few copies of pages you need.
