Hello folks,

So i just finished rebuilding steering gearbox and installed it. bled air

Car ran fine but now when car stopped but in drive, it's so hard to steer.. almost impossible. But in Neutral it's fine.

I'm wondering if it's air in the system, steering pump went bad, or gearbox.

Steering is easy at higher rpms.. at idle rpm is 1k

A friend turned on the car before i added oil to the pump but not for long.. i don't know if this weakened the pump ;/

what you guys think?

 

I'll flush the steering system and see if it fixes the problem. if not... i'll attempt to fix the steering pump and maybe adjust the pump piston.

I'm using transmission oil if that helps
