Default Stereo Issue??

Have a 2000 silverado LS. Has CD, Cassette, AM/FM. My FM went silent yesterday still seeks and scans to known stations but no sound. AM works fine. Anyone know a easy fix or should I plan for a new stereo?

Thanks

I have an 04 LS, and I'm completely rewiring and replacing all my components. Had the head set replaced once already under warranty.

IMO, doesn't really matter what I'm installing, just that you're lucky you've gone this long without problems...

OK,OK, A Clarion double DIN head, a Rockford Fosgate p400-4 Punch Amp, and 4 MB Quart 6.5" PVI 216s in the doors. Since you just had to know.

Alright, well if we're bragging about sound systems here... Pioneer D3100 Head unit (I think), 2 Pioneer 6.5" Doors, 2 Pioneer 4x6" in the columns, 2 1" Pioneer Tweeters in the doors, and an MTX 300XD (D-class) powering a Kicker 12" CVR 2 Ohm in a custom made rhino-lined under-seat box.

Phew.

You win Blindsight. You've got a system that can throw down.

After four years of my factory system, I just needed enough sound quality that I didn't want to throw up.

Actually, I feel the same way. I got sick of having only one working speaker, and I wanted a sound system that was built on quality, not loudness. So I went with really clear speakers with tweeters and a nice crisp sounding subwoofer. Now, if I want it to be, it can be ridiculously loud, and thump really hard, but I really just enjoy the sound quality.

I like to turn it up, I listen to hard rock and punk a lot. BUT I am inside my truck, with the windows closed, not outside the truck three blocks away.

No matter how hard I try, I just cant get my seat to slide quite THAT far back...
