no problem bro just glad i could help any other questions ill be happy to answer with the best of my knowledge and one last thing about the cam dont bother with an ls1 cam in a 5.3 most people say it runs the same witht hat being said if you do put a cam later on do your home work on it it may take a while to see what exactly you want and may also include changing the lifters rockers and some other parts as well as getting your timming tuned right in all if you do it yourself looking at 500-600 for everything maybe your truck would be a little more louder have a big differnce in sound and gas millage gone lol
but good luck with your projects i hope you get everything to work like your looking for

yea i doubt i get into the cam ....

i have alot of stuff to get and not to mention on this thread im gettin tires and rims for 3,150.91! but those are financed but still sorta holds me up and getting a 6" suspension lift (but only if i can finance it at the local truck shop) (or get a loan from the bank) which is 1,200 from autoanything ...so all tht hold me up a little bit with the headers and blackbear ...im ordering the servo monday tho.....

ima have to get a pic of my truck on here soon for yall to see it

im kinda sketchy on tht 6" lift and 38" tires with 18" rims cause tht will slow me down like crazy!!

but itll be lookin fly as you no what goin down the boulevard on spring break at myrtle beach

BTW whats a good price reasonable lift is trailmaster $1,440.00 good??? or rough country = $1070.00 which one ?

well im not to much of a lift expert country would be able to help you with that one but from what everyone tells me rough country is a great lift
and yea 38s with 18 inch rims and a 6 inch lift will sloww you down with all them mods almost to stock or slower also i think if you wana run 38s with 18s you may need a bigger lift or a body lift because you may rub ive only heard people bearly fitting 35s with a 6 inch lift

38s on a 6" ain't gonna happen boss, you'd have to get a procomp full drop 6", crank up torsion bars 1.5" and get a 3" body lift to fit those. That bein said i've got a rough country 6" NTD lift with a 1.5" body lift and I could barely fit 35s in there, I think. That's because of the offset of the rim though

I've seen 37s fit under a 6" with stock wheels, a little bit of trimmin in there but it worked..I figured if you get a full drop kit(pro-comp and a few others I can't think of) then you could do 38s with a little crank and stock wheels

If it did I didn't notice any of a mpg improvement, definitely a shift improvement though. No more soft shifts at all

i did come across a valid point last night though. transmissions that havent been maintained before 100k miles, should not have any work done to them, not even fluid change. adding a firmer grip could possibly tear some stuff up. i got my truck at 165k or so, and im pretty sure it has never had a trans fluid change.

I heard that too, and took a chance. I dropped the pan and replaced the fluid and the filter at 190k, then at 196k I changed all the fluid and filter again. Like a flush and fill, actually helped out a lot with shifting and temps in the tranny. Was never serviced before that and is still goin strong right at 200k now, added the vette servo at like 193k and did nothing but improve everything
