So i just got a new 07 shortbed 1500. I also have a 93 shortbed with the 350 in it.I have a lot of mods to my 93 and am very happy with it. But with the 93 i didnt do alot of "hardware" mods, just normal novice stuff like performance chip, k&n, exhaust, some better built replacement stuff, just things like that. My new 07 has the 4.3 in it. I was looking for suggestions for the new one. Need some experienced guy to suggest the right things to do to actually make this truck very strong, and have lots of *****. I will work on the engine first this time and then go to the body, but was just looking for suggestions. thanks..

 

Did you mean 5.3L or 4.3L?

Sorry but not much hope for a 4.3L V6 in a full size truck. You can do all the usual stuff like CAI, exhaust, custom tune, etc... and you wouldn't even get stock V8 performance. You could spend thousands on the engine and get it to where a stock V8 would be( maybe )but I personally wouldn't waste your money trying to build a V6 in a full size truck. Your call as it is your money.

Good luck and NO offense meant. I just think you have unrealistic hopes and dreams. It's a V6 in a full size. Dress it up and go for looks and don't waste your money and time trying to make something without ***** grow some. Impossible task.
