is this check ball suppoed to be in the spacer plate, its out of a 4l60e

the iatn site might have alot of folks who could provide answer? that is if the one trans builder on this site doesn't respond...allen?

There are 10 check ***** total.

3 in the case side (two in 'capsules') and one loose beside the 3-4 accumulator bore. Then, there are also 7 on the valve body side.

Look for the "bathtubs" in the channeling on the valve body.

so that one isnt supposed to be imbedded into the spacer plate and i new one right

No,

The ball shouldn't be "jammed" or "stuck" into the spacer plate.

You may be able to turn the plate upsidedown on a flat surface and bring it flat again with a hammer.

However, if the hole is enlarged or 'torn', you'd better get a new plate.
