Default Sway bar... odd question.

Alright everyone, this is going to sound like a odd question and maybe stupid. Has anyone ever taken their front sway bar out of their truck? I got a 1992 K1500 4X4 long box. For some reason I got a odd idea in my head to think about taking the sway bar completely out of the front but haven't done it. Has anyone ever done this? Does it make a large difference in your handling? I dunno it's just a crazy idea. Tell me what you all think about it. Thanks.

Is it april fool's today?
Pardon me for being blunt.
ARE YOU COMPLETELY INSANE?!?!

With the swaybar removed I would not go over 5 mph moving the truck within the confines of the scrapyard. That piece of metal keeps the truck from rolling over, it keeps your rear wheels behind the front wheels and it prevents the frame from imitating a cork screw.

Got any other brite ideas?

Just wondering what the logic behind removing the sway bar would be? I must concur with bl89tbi. Usually one ADDS suspension components and upgrades to their truck, noit the other way around.

That's somewhat odd because my buddy took his out when he put his 2 inch lift in and a steering stabilizer. He has a 88'. It seems to move down the road just fine. No wobble or anything. I don't think that the steering stabilizer would make any difference. I was just wondering. No need to get in a **** fight or anything.

the sway bar just keeps the truck from having alot of body roll in turns as long as you know this and take it easy in turns its ok the only benifit in doing this is offroad it alows the front to pivot more indepenantly

I took the front sway bar out of my 95 Tahoe after installing a 6" lift, I also have the torsion bars tightend up a good bit. I was looking for a little more flex but it made little difference.
