I installed this thing about 6 months ago and it's one of the best things I've ever done to my truck. If you ever had your tailgate slip out of your hand or come open for any reason you know it will slam down. Well this thing works like a screen door closer lowering your tailgate very slowly hands free. It's cool and worth the $50.00I paid for it on ebay.
