Hi I have a 2004 Silverado with the 4.3 V6. I have noticed this tapping noise from the front right side of the truck. It comes and goes whenever it wants and there is no rythm to the tapping. It happens in drive and in park. The tapping doesnt increase with speed. If anyone knows what this is please tell me, its driving me nuts!

 

Try turning off the AC/Heat blower and see if the noise stops. Sometimes a leaf or something will get into the fan area and make a clicking sound. Very annoying.

 

It happens when the blower is off.

 

check to see if your fan is hittin a leaf or somethin
